• Rembrandt writer speaks Wednesday

    HANOVER, N.H. Historian Simon Schama, professor of history and art history at Columbia University, and author of "Rembrandt's Eyes," will speak about the life of Rembrandt van Rijn at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Hopkins Center Moore Theater.

    "Not Going Gentle: Rembrandt and the Roughness of Age" is a free lecture.

    The program is being offered in conjunction with the Hood's exhibition "Rembrandt: Master of Light and Shadow; Etchings from the Collection of the Hood Museum of Art" on view through Sept. 17.
