Norwich investigating hazing complaint

NORTHFIELD, Vt. (AP) _ A Norwich University student is being investigated amid allegations he assaulted a freshman being introduced into the school's military corps.
The university says the case is considered a possible hazing incident.
The student was an upperclassman who was part of what is called a training cadre, which is part of Norwich's Corps of Cadets.
Norwich spokesman Mark Albury says the student is still on campus, but has been removed from his position with the training group and is not having any contact with freshmen.
University officials say Northfield police have been notified.
