Bush bashing days must end

For many years I have enjoyed observing American politics. The first presidential election I was interested in as a youngster was the Eisenhower-Stevenson contest in 1952.
Even though my grandfather told me once when I was just a wee lad, "Charles, let me give you some important advice. Always vote for the party to keep the party strong," I have strayed from his advice and voted for Republicans, Democrats and independents.
This last fall I voted with those 60 million who did not vote for Obama. This figure represents about 46 percent of those who voted. Now we in the minority are watching with awe as our country's basic approach to problem-solving is being radically changed to the far left. This president believes strongly that the federal government, not the individual, is the key to solving our problems. We shall soon see if he is correct.
Another significant departure from past practice I have observed is the continual blame this president lays on previous administrations. This is unprecedented. At some point this president has got to assume responsibility for the results of his actions.
Hopefully, our citizens who back him will also begin to realize that their Bush bashing days need to terminate and they will begin to sing the praises of our president's achievements once he accomplishes something.
