Ham radio class begins in Pittsford

PITTSFORD — Green Mountain Wireless Society is sponsoring an entry level and upgrade amateur radio class at St. Alphonsus Parish Hall in Pittsford.
Classes will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. each Monday through Feb. 9 in the basement classroom.
The self-study course is free to all ages, and will teach the information needed to pass the technician class amateur radio exam or the general class amateur radio exams.
The only expense for the class is that of the text material.
An FCC licensing examination session is scheduled for Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus and costs $15.
