LUDLOW — Okemo Mountain Resort has opened more terrain for freestyle riders.
The mountain recently opened the Ross Powers Superpipe and the FamilyCross Park on the Lower Tomahawk trail.
Snowboarders and skiers can now enjoy the 450-foot-long Ross Powers Superpipe with decks spaced 50 feet apart and walls measuring 18 feet high. Okemo's Superpipe is named to honor the resort's Snowboard Ambassador and Olympic Gold Medalist Ross Powers.
On the Lower Tomahawk trail, the FamilyCross Park offers intermediate skiers and riders a chance to enjoy an assortment of banked turns, rollers and berms as they wind their way down the trail.
