SPRINGFIELD — Madeleine Lockwood, 57, died Feb. 13, 2009, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.
She was born Aug. 28, 1951, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Berger) Blackley.
She was a 1969 graduate of San Dieguito High School in Encinitas, Calif.
She was employed as an escrow officer in the Los Angeles area for over 30 years. For the past year, she worked as a medical secretary in the cardiology department at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where she was also a mentor for women with breast cancer as she was a cancer survivor.
She was an artist and enjoyed New England.
Survivors include her partner, Patti Pourade, her mother, Elizabeth Condos, and a sister, Margo Rose, all of Springfield; and a brother, Nicholas Condos of San Diego, Calif.
She was predeceased by her father.
The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield. The Rev. Christine Boardman, pastor of First Congregational Church UCC in Springfield, will officiate.
