Driver sought in stolen car crash

Vermont State Police are seeking the public's help in finding the person who fled the scene of a crash in Pittsfield involving a stolen vehicle.
Police said around 11 p.m. Wednesday they were called to a reported crash of a vehicle into a utility pole on Route 100. Police said when they arrived at the scene the driver of the maroon Pontiac G6 had fled the scene.
Police said they later learned the crashed vehicle had been reported stolen from Massachusetts.
Anyone who saw the crash is asked to call State Police in Rutland at 773-9101.
