Woman charged with DUI after crash

HARTLAND — Police arrested a Hartland woman Friday morning after she allegedly crashed her car while driving drunk.

Around 1:30 a.m., police received a 911 call reporting a single-vehicle crash on Route 12. When police arrived, they spoke with the driver, Spring A. Romer, 37, who police said had a blood alcohol count of .133. The legal driving limit in Vermont in 0.08.

Police charged Romer with drunken driving and released her with a citation to appear in White River Junction District Court at a later date.

Will people ever learn, why drink and drive? It is stupid and not only do you risk your own health but the health and well being of others.
