WELLS — A West Pawlet man who allegedly forced his way into a home on North Street was arrested and charged with burglary on Saturday, according to the State Police.
George Wade, 24, allegedly pushed his way into a home on 1153 North St. after residents at the home told him he couldn't come in.
Wade didn't stay inside for long, police said, leaving once he realized that the person he was searching for wasn't there.
Police responding to an emergency call from the homeowners didn't find Wade at the scene, but located him later at his home in West Pawlet where he was arrested and released on a citation to appear in court.
