Smugglers Notch now open to cars

CAMBRIDGE — There's another sure sign of spring in the Vermont mountains.
Smugglers Notch between Stowe and Jeffersonville is once again open to vehicles.
Also known as Vermont Route 108, the twisty route through the mountains is closed in the fall when snow makes the road impassable.
