For the second time in as many weeks, a Wallingford man was in court Wednesday to answer to charges of violating conditions of release imposed for an arrest earlier this month.
Timothy Shaw, 29, was arrested Monday night for allegedly breaking a curfew that requires he not leave his Meadow Street home except for medical, work and legal appointments. A neighbor allegedly saw Shaw walk down Franklin Street and enter a red compact car that did not belong to him, according to a police affidavit. The neighbor and the owner of the vehicle both called police. Shaw was arrested at his home later that night.
Judge Thomas Zonay imposed $3,500 bail consecutive to the $1,500 bail Shaw met after last week's arrest. Shaw did not post bail Wednesday and is currently being held at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
On May 6, Shaw was arrested on charges including driving with a suspended license, attempting to elude an officer with a vehicle, careless or negligent operation of a vehicle and retail theft.
