On Saturday, NeighborWorks of Western Vermont will join the West Rutland leaders, businesses and residents to help "flower the town."
Beautification of the historic downtown area begins at 10 a.m. in the NWWVT parking lot and will conclude at noon with free Ben & Jerry's ice cream courtesy of the Rutland store, according to NWWVT.
The event kicks off the beginning of NeighborWorks Week, a weeklong, nationwide celebration full of community events and partnerships.
