FairPoint Communications reported an Internet outage on Monday that’s affecting its customers in Vermont.

The company’s Internet service went down at 2:50 p.m. A recorded message on the company’s technical support line said there was no estimated time when service would be restored.

“We do have an issue that is affecting some customers in Vermont. However, it is not impacting all FairPoint Internet customers in the state,” FairPoint Vermont spokeswoman Beth Fastiggi said in an e-mail late Monday afternoon.

FairPoint has had ongoing problems with its service in the three northern New England States since switching from to its own systems from the Verizon network earlier this year.

how long do the people of vermont have to wait before the state does something about the substandard service that is known as fairpoint. the state approved this now the state and fairpoint should belly up and make it right.
