LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. — The Lake George Association will hold its 124th annual meeting on Saturday at Lake George Club in Bolton Landing.

Colleen Hickey, education/outreach coordinator for the Lake Champlain Basin Program, will be this year's keynote speaker. The title of the keynote address will be "Lawn to Lake: Tips for Green Lawns, Not Green Lakes."

Hickey will provide tips for lake-friendly landscaping and lawn care, such as installing a vegetative buffer using native plants and switching to low- or no-phosphorus fertilizer.

Each year, the LGA Annual Meeting proves to be an educational and informative event for all concerned lake users.

The LGA staff will outline the group's lake-saving programs, including an update on the West Brook Conservation Initiative and the LGA Floating Classroom.

Information concerning issues facing Lake George will also be highlighted in several displays.

Guests can meet the LGA's Board of Directors and its staff, including the group's executive director, Walt Lender.

Registration for the meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and the meeting will start at 9 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

After the meeting, guests will be invited to tour the new LGA Floating Classroom vessel, a 40-foot Corinthian Catamaran.
