Driver avoids worst in dump truck rollover

WALLINGFORD — A 70-year-old driver lost suffered only minor injuries after crashing a dump truck on Route 103 in East Wallingford Monday morning, according to state police.
Police said Lawrence Maly was driving north on the highway when he became distracted and lost control of the dump truck. The vehicle drove off the east side, rolled over and came to a stop in a field.
Maly, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center for minor injuries, police said.
