WESTON — The Pioneer Consort, a trio that performs composed and improvised chamber music for violin, guitar, cello, mandolin, and the bangar — a seven-string classical banjo — plays the Sundays on the Hill Concert Series July 12 in the Church on the Hill.
On July 26, Weston's own Kinhaven Music School faculty and student players will offer a traditional chamber music program.
On Aug. 9, Robert DeCormier will bring his choral group Counterpoint for a concert of familiar classical and contemporary works. Boston classical group A Far Cry will perform Aug. 30 and the series will close Sept. 20 with Elisabeth von Trapp and cellist Erich Kory.
Concerts are from 4 to 5 p.m., with open seating starting around 3:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and children are free.
Parking is available at the church, along Lawrence Hill Road and around the Village Green. For more information, visit www.VTChurchOnTheHill.org.
