The Precision Valley Fish and Game Association of Perkinsville is hosting an outdoor day today.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the club's outdoor range on Route 106.

Men, women and children will be introduced to various shooting sports.

The event costs $5 per family.

There will be rifles, handguns and shotguns available. Participants can try shooting trap or Cowboy Action Shooting. Ammunition will be provided.

Experience club members will supervise the shooting.

A large collection of high-power firearms will be on display from Thomas Platt's personal collection.

Hot dogs and hamburgers will be sold.

The Precision Valley Fish and Game Association, an NRA-affiliated sporting organization, was formed more than 70 years ago.

The club's objective is to maintain and pass on Vermont's outdoor heritage to future generations.
