ORWELL — Melody Anne Bodette and Alyth Hescock were married May 16, 2009, in a double-ring ceremony by Justice of the Peace Gail Smith at the home of the mother of the groom in Orwell. A reception followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Susan and Raymond Bodette III of Addison.

The groom is the son of Karen Hescock of Orwell, and the late Todd Hescock.

The bride was escorted by her father. Amy DeMagistris, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Rebecca O’Reilly, cousin of the bride, was a bridal attendant.
Adam Hescock, cousin of the groom, was best man. Heath Hescock, brother of the groom, was an usher.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to the eastern townships of Quebec.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Vergennes Union High School, and a 2004 graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., with a degree in English and French. She is a producer at Vermont Public Radio in Colchester.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Fair Haven Union High School, and a 2007 graduate of the University of Vermont in Burlington, with a degree in community development and applied economics. He is in real estate sales and appraisal.
They live in Vergennes.
