Vermont State Police are out in force this weekend with extra patrols focusing on impaired and aggressive drivers.
Col. Thomas L'Esperance says the Fourth of July holiday weekend has had a history of alcohol-related crashes.
He says Vermont troopers will focus on identifying impaired and aggressive drivers this weekend with extra patrols and sobriety checkpoints.
The Vermont Governor's Highway Safety Program also is coordinating DUI task force patrols this weekend in Bennington, Franklin and Windsor counties.
