Motorist accused of pot possession

SHAFTSBURY — A New York man was arrested Saturday after police say they found marijuana in his car during a traffic stop.

James E. Brillon, 18, of Eagle Bridge, N.Y., was cited to appear in court for a charge of possession of marijuana, according to state police. Brillon was stopped on Route 7A for defective equipment on his car. During the stop, police said Brillon gave his consent to search the vehicle.

During the search, police say they found a small amount of marijuana and a glass smoking pipe.

I don't understand why this is in Rutland County news. Living in Arlington, I always thought Shaftsbury was in Bennington County.
