ARLINGTON - Neal and Marilyn Houston of Arlington recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
The couple was married July 2, 1949, in West Hartford, in a ceremony officiated by her father, the Rev. Elden Mills.
They met while attending the University of Vermont, and began their married life in Springfield.
Mr. Houston enjoyed a career working in Montpelier and Washington, D.C., for Sen. Robert Stafford.
The couple retired to Arlington.
They have six children, and numerous grandchildren.
