Authors to converge at Bookstock

WOODSTOCK — Author Reeve Lindbergh and former Vermont State Poet Ellen Bryant Voigt will be among the featured presenters at Bookstock: The Green Mountain Festival of Words, happening today and Saturday at several locations around town.
Lindbergh will present the festival's opening keynote address at 7 p.m. tonight at the Unitarian Universalist Church. A children's author, novelist and poet, Lindbergh is the daughter of aviator Charles Lindbergh and author Anne Morrow Lindbergh.
A recent Pulitzer Prize finalist for "Messenger: Selected Poems 1976 – 2006," Voigt will read at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Norman Williams Library. For more than 30 years, Voigt has been writing the poetry that has established her as one of the most distinguished poets of her generation.
Other events during the two-day festival will be held in the Town Hall Theatre, the Woodstock Inn and Woodstock Elementary School.
