BENNINGTON – "Almost, Maine," the second production of Oldcastle Theatre Company's season will run through Aug. 9 at the Bennington Center for the Arts.

The play is a comedy that takes place on a cold, moonless night in the middle of winter during which people find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected ways in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine.

Eric Peterson, the theater company's artistic director, said "Almost, Maine," written by actor and playwright John Cariani, continues a tradition of plays set in Vermont or New England.

The show has a cast of four. Marianna Bassham, making her Oldcastle debut, won the Elliot Norton award for outstanding actress in Boston this year. Shawn J. Davis, Natalie Wilder and Richard Howe, associate artistic director for Oldcastle, are all veterans of Bennington theater.

Curtain time for "Almost, Maine" is at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 9.

For more information, call Oldcastle at 447-0564 or visit the Web site at www.oldcastletheatreco.org.
