Silverware, kayaks stolen in Windham

Police are investigating several robberies in the Windham County area.

Around 1 p.m. Monday, police said, someone entered a residence on Beaver Pond Road and stole several items, including a 40-piece silverware set, an Olympus digital camera, a television and some change.

Police said a late-model silver pickup was seen in the area around the time of the burglary.

On Tuesday, someone stole two kayaks from a residence on Alpin Way. The kayaks are described as a Precision single-occupant orange kayak and a Precision double-occupant yellow kayak.

Over the weekend, eight residents in Jacksonville reported having the gas caps of their vehicles either tampered with or removed. One person reported having 1/4 tank of gas stolen.

Anyone with information about any of these crimes is asked to call the State Police Brattleboro Barracks at 254-2382.
