DANBY — A local man was charged with a third drunken driving offense after police say he struck a parked car on Quarry Hill Road.
James R. Kent, 25, was cited to appear in Rutland District Court after he lost control of his car and crashed into a parked vehicle at about 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, state police said.
Kent, who told police he had been drinking at a residence on Quarry Hill Road prior to the crash, was taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released. After his release, troopers had Kent perform field sobriety exercises before deciding he was intoxicated.
