THETFORD - Police in Thetford say a man has been arrested on suspicion of abusing his baby, then beating up his wife.

Police say 26-year-old Jeremy Quillia shook his 1-year-old daughter "excessively" when she wouldn't stop crying. Police say he then squeezed a bottle of milk into the baby's mouth, causing her to gag.

WCAX-TV reports when Quillia's wife intervened, police say he punched her in the face at least six times and held a knife to her throat.

Quillia is charged with aggravated domestic assault and child abuse.

Mark- yes people need jobs. but righties wont even help with health care insurance, and balk at paying for schools.(I just infiltrated a Rt wing confab tonight, so I know this)

Schools can help by educating people about nutrition, and staying healthy, and prepare kids for decent jobs. Douglas, the Repug hero, did not help with jobs, though it was his slogan, if you recall. Jobs went down during his tenure.

The more I read the comments on this site, the more evidence I see that our education system is a complete and total failure.

Mr. Quillia, let me clue you in on something, BABIES CRY! GET USED TO IT! Here's a kicker, ,they CRY because they can't express themselves with words... what an idiot! This guy should have had a vasectomy a long time ago. I'm sure there's a reduced rate for those who cannot afford one. Honestly, that would do us ALL a favour. We hard working, taxpaying, individuals might get a break, since we somehow keep getting poked every time one of these idiots reproduce. Yes, I know I'm going to get flack for this, but really, do care? NOPE! You know what's disgusting is watching some fat chick with a tank top-two sizes-too small, hovering a massive muffin top over her pajama bottoms wearing the uniform cheapy crocs wheeling her failed-birth control kid down the street. Makes my day!

OK folks, both sides here have lost their minds. Domestic abuse occurs in both "leftie" and "Rightie" households. This is not a left VS right issue. If Mr. Quilla is found guilty, he should go to prison for a very very long time, until he is a harmless old man. He should have no early out, and no lowlife defense attorney who says, and tries to convince the jury what a good guy Mr Quilla is.
The political issue comes when and if some low IQ individual tries to blame society or surroundings for the abuse rather than Mr Quilla. When it comes to acts of crimes, acts of violence toward family members, or illegal acts against society, it is the INDIVIDUAL's SOLE responsibility. NOT society's !!

So you right wing vultures see a domestic violence article and decide to blame this incident on liberal democrats?! Where do you come up with this crap? Domestic violence occurs in all states, red or blue. Do you hear people blaming the GOP for domestic abuse by widening the rich/poor gap, or for promoting pro life agendas creating more unprepared families with immature adults?
Had there been a gun involved, I'm sure you'd have kept your opinions to yourselves, eh? But who am I to make these radical assumptions?
While we're at it, I'd be one to bet that if we were to ask Quillia which way he leans, I'd be willing to bet it isn't to the left.

amen Mark. Where is the public outcry? Where is the lifetime of shame Jeremy Quillia has earned? Let's hear it Lefties, "they're all victims in need of aid & support."

Get the poor child out of that home NOW!

I will say what the lefties hate to hear, and even some others too; but I will say it because I care about kids: Vermont is a hot-bed of domestic violence because the politics of the state have destroyed the state's economy, causing people to be trapped in hopeless lives of governmental dependency.

You liberals used to believe in giving people hope. You liberals used to believe that abusive behavior had root causes, and you wanted to help fix that.

What happened? When did the energetic and optimistic liberals who stirred so much social improvement become today's apathetic judgmental cynics, interested in merely tossing crumbs to the rif-raff beneath your enlightened table?

We can minimize domestic violence by giving people hope, by giving them economic liberty.
