CVPS plans blackout for Saturday morning

Power will go out in Benson, Hubbardton, Sudbury, Brandon, Orwell, Leicester, Whiting, Shoreham, Bridport and Cornwall Saturday morning.
Central Vermont Public Service Corp. said a planned blackout will affect about 2,500 customers in those towns while workers replace transmission poles in Leicester.
Power is expected to go out at 6 a.m. and come back on at around 12:05 p.m. The planned repairs have a rain date of Oct. 24.
