WEST RUTLAND — Vermonters for a Clean Environment will host a panel discussion on wind power at 7 p.m. tonight at the West Rutland Town Hall.

The organization is working with opponents of a proposed wind farm in and around Ira.

Topics include the alleged health effects of the noise wind towers produce and how Vermont can meet its renewable energy goals without industrial-scale wind power.

A social hour with "light refreshments" preceeds the program at 6 p.m.
