MIDDLEBURY — More than a dozen Middlebury College students were issued civil and in a handful of cases criminal citations in an underage drinking party raid on Quarry Road late last week.

Michael Davidson, an investigator with the state Department of Liquor Control, said officers from his agency, the state police, and Bristol and Middlebury police were called to a rental property at 424 Quarry Road at about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 30.

Davidson said police found three kegs of Natural Light beer and about 60 college students at the address. Sixteen students, who told police they went to school in Middlebury, were issued citations for under-age consumption.

Five residents at the property — four of whom Davidson said were students and members of the Middlebury lacrosse team — were arrested on misdemeanor charges and issued citations to appear in Addison District Court next month. One resident has yet to be charged.

The charges against the residents include enabling minors to consume alcohol and prohibited acts; license required to furnish alcohol.

can shoot your dog on your own land
can shoot a menaly ill person in a church
can let the driver of a hit and run go unchecked for weeks
they can not bust up a known crackhouse
they can not be around when muggers strike
they can not be held responsable for tassering none combative folks speeking up!
And they can not offer you a ride when they find you walking down a cold dark road.

At 18 to 21 You can;

Get an abortion without parental consent.

Get a bank loan without any co signers.

Enlist without parents signature.

VOTE for people to represent us.

Be tried and convicted as an adult.

Pay Taxes.

Be responsible as an adult in ALL adult manners.

Could achieve the rank of 2nd Lt or even S/Sgt and lead men into combat. In rare cases some have been higher ranking officers before 21.

Can make their own decisions.

At 18 to 21 You can NOT;

Decide to have a drink after a heavy day of fighting insurgents.

Decide to have a drink after a long day of jury duty.

Decide to have a drink after a long day of hassling with the Banks.

Decide to have a drink after a long day fighting with the IRS.

Decide to have a drink after your party won the elections.

Decide to have a drink after a long day of exams.

Drinking age should still be 18! Thats when they can vote or be drafted. This is a waste of time and money.

I'd think that Middlebury College students would al least have Michelob, if not Hieneken. At least it wasn't a crack or heroine party.
