LUDLOW — Black River Good Neighbor Services is accepting applications for its Christmas Basket program.
The organization distributes the baskets, which include either a turkey or a roasting chicken, and a variety of fruits and vegetables, to residents of Cavendish, Ludlow, Mount Holly and Plymouth.
Last year, BRGNS distributed 123 baskets worth $14,500 in food and gifts to 190 adults and 184 children.
BRGNS is also looking for financial donations to purchase food from the Vermont Food Bank.
Applications are due Dec. 1. For more information about applying for a basket of making a donation, call BRGNS at 228-3663.
