Police accuse two as illegal immigrants

LUDLOW — Police said two illegal immigrants are in custody after they were found drinking in a gas station parking lot.

Police responded on Sunday to a complaint of two men drinking in the parking lot of the Shell gas station on Main Street. Police said neither man could provide identification and further investigation revealed that Marcos Mendez-Romero and Sostenes Palma, both 29, both of Mexico, were illegal immigrants.

Police cited the men for drinking and turned them over to U.S. Border Patrol for possible deportation proceedings.

I do not think that all illegal allens are "bad" people in fact the contrary is true the "bad" folks are probably the minority. However every illegal is a criminal. If they entered this country without permission or if they overstayed their visa without permission they have committed a crime and that = criminal.

If you cannot keep people from entering your home without your permission you cannot claim to own the house. In the same way a country that cannot secure it's own borders cannot claim to be soverign.

I see where they also picked up a woman from Iceland for entering the country illegally so it is not only latino people that are the criminals here. Send them home immediately. Let them apply for legal immigration.

I for one am happy to welcome legal immigrants.

Not all people who come here to the United States illegally are "bad" people. I, as a born and raised "American" have trouble with others who do not clearly see some as people, human beings. None of us... and I repeat, None of us, here in the "United States" have the right to state that they have "ownership" to being here..There may be a few, however, they are most probably native american or otherwise and, if you everyone out there were to check into their family heritage and "tree", as I did, they would find, they were from African decent.
