GMC to host free RAFFL evening

Anyone interested in the future of agriculture in the Rutland region is invited to attend the Rutland Area Food and Farm Link's Farmers' Gathering on Thursday.
The free event, which will be held at Green Mountain College's Withey Hall in Poultney, is titled "Dairy, Diversification and Demand for Local: A Shifting Economic Landscape." It will include a 6 p.m. dinner and 7 p.m. panel discussion. Panelists will include representatives from the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Sen. Patrick Leahy's and Rep. Peter Welch's offices and State legislators.
Cosponsors include Rutland Area Farm and Food Link, Green Mountain College and Poultney Mettowee Natural Resource Conservation District.
