Health-care forum set for WRJ tonight

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — The public is invited to a forum to discuss health care reform and the single-payer system at 7 p.m. tonight at the Hotel Coolidge.
Speakers at the forum will include Dr. Paul Manganiello, a founder of the Good Neighbor Health Clinic, Dr. Deb Richter, an expert on Vermont health care reform efforts and Democratic Sen. Dick McCormack. The forum will look at the challenges in health care reform and present specific ways that Vermonters can advance significant health care reform.
Lawyer Marjorie Powers will join the panel to present on the legal challenges to various health-care options. Phil Fiermonte, representing Independent U.S. Sen. Bernard Sanders will also be available to answer questions at the forum.
