BARRE — Thomas William Hill, 62, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at his home in Barre.

He was born May 16, 1947, in Hanover, N.H., the son of the late Kenneth and Mildred (Carpenter) Hill.

Tom attended Hartford schools and graduated from Hartford High School in 1965. He continued his education graduating from the University of Vermont in 1969. He later received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1977. Tom's entire career was in banking and finance which he did from 1969 until his retirement due to ill health. He was married to Anne Candon October 2, 2004, in Barre. His memberships included the United Methodist Church of White River Junction, the Montpelier Lodge of Elks #924 and Montague Golf Club in Randolph, where he had served on the board of directors. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and spending winters in the south.

He is survived by his wife, E. Anne Candon of Barre; a son, Robert K.T. Hill and wife Jessica of Berlin, N.H.; two daughters, Jennifer Sultaire and husband Sean of Pittsfield, Mass., and Meghan Hill of Wilder, and their mother, Mary E. "Beth" Hill of White River Junction; four grandchildren, Kailey, Connor, Lacey and Evan; and a brother, Kenneth Hill Jr. of Bluffton, S.C.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 23rd, at 1:00 p.m. at the Day Funeral Home, Randolph, with Rev. Mara Dowdall officiating. Burial will follow in Branch View Cemetery, South Royalton. Calling hours will be Sunday evening 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
