BRATTLEBORO — The director of the Windham Orchestra is facing charges he possessed child pornography and that he tried to lure a minor via electronic means.
The Brattleboro Reformer says 50-year-old David Runnion was cited Thursday after an investigation by police in Brattleboro and Keene, N.H., that began last May.
Brattleboro police say Runnion had been soliciting a child under the age of 16.
Brattleboro Detective Eric Johnson says Runnion’s alleged behavior was not discovered through a "sting“ operation in which a police officer presents him or her self on the Internet as an underage person.
Johnson says what he calls the "actual victim“ was discovered through another case.
