A Rutland teenager is charged with attacking another woman, leaving her with bruises and hair falling out.
Chelsea L. Hill, 17, of East Street, pleaded innocent Monday in Rutland District Court to misdemeanor charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct. If convicted, she could face a maximum of one year and 60 days in prison and $1,500 in fines.
The charges stem from an alleged incident at Wallingford's Meadow Street Park in July. Police said Jessica MacDonald, 19, described Hill pulling her out of a car by her hair and repeatedly hitting her. Witnesses described the altercation as an argument that escalated.
Hill told police she believed MacDonald was going to hit her, according to affidavits, so she pushed her and the fight progressed from there. Police said Hill laughed while describing the event.
Hill was released on the condition she stay away from MacDonald.2 CommentsMORE IN This Just InThe Rutland School Board unanimously approved a teacher contract Tuesday night that gives...
