Kathan leading English team

Springfield High School and Keene State College graduate Tyler Kathan has been leading his professional basketball team in London by averaging 15.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
Kathan scored a team-high 21 points in his last game to propel the Leicester Warriors to a 92-85 victory over the London Leopards in his most recent game.
BOYS BASKETBALL
GM replaces Black River
Since Black River will not have a boys basketball team this season, Green Mountain will replace the Presidents in the MVL/CVL Challenge to be played in South Royalton's new gymnasium.
Proctor will meet Sharon at 6 p.m. on Dec. 15 and Green Mountain tangles with South Royalton at 7:30 p.m.
The second night of the event is Dec. 17 when Green Mountain meets Sharon at 6 p.m. and Proctor plays South Royalton at 7:30 p.m.
South Royalton Athletic Director Jeff Moreno is happy to have finally gotten Green Mountain coach Stretch Gillam in his gym. Moreno played for Gillam at Hartford High.
"We are excited to have Stretch Gillam coming to South Royalton after years after years of trying to work them into our schedule," Moreno said.
RHS Food drive
Rutland Middle School and Rutland High School athletes will be conducting a food drive Saturday, canvassing neighborhoods from 10 a.m. to noon to collect donations and food to help replenish the Community Cupboard.
