Christmas arrest yields DUI charge

ROYALTON — A Hartland man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence late on Christmas Day after he registered a 0.216 blood alcohol content.
State police in Royalton said they stopped 24-year-old Patrick J. Magnus on Vermont Route 14 in Hartford at about 11:20 p.m. Friday for erratic operation.
Investigation revealed he had been drinking, and police gave him a blood alcohol test on the scene. Based on the results, they arrested him and took him to the Hartford Police Department for processing.
