Vt. man charged with lumber threats

New Hampshire police say a Vermont man is facing charges he threatened two women with a piece of lumber in Cornish, N.H., and then assaulted a man.
Police say Eric Sumner of Springfield threatened two women Monday with a 2-by-4. He then went to a different address and assaulted a man.
Police say Sumner was charged with two counts of criminal threatening and one count of simple assault.
He was released on bail and is due in court next week.
