MIDDLEBURY — The author of a book about a family moving from Sicily to Rutland will talk on Thursday at the Vermont Folklife Center about writing memoirs.

Sandra Levesque, who wrote "Under a Fig Tree: A Family Memoir," speaks at 7 p.m. and will sign copies of her book, which is available at the center's gift shop. The book tells the story of her grandparents, who came to Vermont in the 1920s.
