MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury Actors Workshop brings Allan Miller's "The Fox" to the Town Hall Theater from March 18 to 21.
The play, based on a novella by D.H. Lawrence, takes place in rural England in 1918. It depicts two women living together on a farm who invite a soldier returning from World War I to stay with them, hoping he can help keep a local fox out of their henhouse.
The arrangement, according to the players, goes horribly wrong.
Melissa Lourie directs. Karen Lefkoe, Katie Palmer and Craig Maravich take on the main roles.
Performances are at 8 p.m., except for March 21, when a matinee performance is set for 2 p.m. Tickets are $17. For more information, go to www.townhalltheater.org.
