Hospice volunteer training set

A free nine-week training class for individuals who wish to become hospice and palliative care volunteers in Rutland County, Dorset and Rupert will take place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 15 until Nov. 10, at Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice at 7 Albert Cree Drive in Rutland.
The volunteer training will include an introduction to hospice and palliative care, education on death, dying and grief, and the development of communication and support skills to help patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
