The construction worker who fell 30 feet from an overpass on Route 5 onto Interstate 91 in Putney on Friday has been named, according to the Keene Sentinel.

Lance Richardson, 44, of Claremont was taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., where he has non-life-threatening injuries, according to Vermont State Police.

Richardson was working for a company doing repairs on the bridge, according to police.

Police said Friday that he appeared to have head, neck, and back injuries and that he was wearing a safety harness, but it was not attached to a safety line on the bridge.
