LEICESTER — A head-on collision involving a car and a tractor trailer on Route 7 Monday night severely injured a Brandon man who remains hospitalized in New Hampshire.
State police were called at just before 10 p.m. to the intersection of Fern Lake Road and Route 7 where police say a tractor trailer driven by Pierre Boulais, 50, of Canada, had collided with a car driven by 33-year-old Andrew Mitchell of Brandon.
Police say Mitchell was attempting to cross Route 7 to turn onto Fern Lake Road when his car was struck by the truck travelling north.
Police say Mitchell was seriously injured in the crash with multiple skull fractures and numerous cuts. He was taken first to Rutland Regional Medical Center and then to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where a spokeswoman said she could not release any information about his condition.
Boulais was uninjured in the crash.2 CommentsMORE IN This Just InEAST MONTPELIER — A Vermont high school student has been accused of making two bomb threats at...
