TINMOUTH A Danby man was killed Wednesday in a crash on North East Road.
Vermont State Police said Adam Delisle, 46, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado south at around 4:45 p.m. when we went off the east side of the road and collided head-on with a tree. Police said rescue workers freed Delisle from the truck, which sustained severe front-end damage, and brought him to Rutland Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Tinmouth Fire Chief Marshall Squier said there may have been some ice patches on the road, but what he saw looked clear.
The roas was actually pretty much bare, he said. It was on a straightaway. ... It looks like he kind of drifted off the road and continued along the ditch for a ways.
Police said Delisle was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash is still under investigation, and police have asked anyone with information to call 773-9101.2 CommentsMORE IN This Just InEAST MONTPELIER A Vermont high school student has been accused of making two bomb threats at...
