Plane crash kills pilot in Lebanon, N.H.Staff Report | February 09,2012
WEST LEBANON, N.H. - A single-engine plane crash today at the airport in the city has killed the pilot who was the lone occupant of the craft, according to a Federal Aviation Administration official.
The identity of the pilot, killed when his Cessna T182T crashed near the end of runway 36 at around 2 p.m., had not been released by 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
How the crash occured was also unclear, with FAA spokeswoman Arlene Salac saying officials were trying to determine whether the plane was taking off or landing when it crashed.
The plane was registered to a man in Peterborough, N.H.
West Lebanon firefighters responded to the scene where they doused the burning remains of the aircraft.
