Conn. man’s ‘bizarre behavior’ nets three charges in ShaftsburyFebruary 11,2012
Vermont State Police reported arresting a Connecticut man after he allegedly damaged his ex-wife’s fence and then stripped out of his clothes at the police station.
Police said they were called to an address on Bank Street in Shaftsbury about 11:30 a.m. Thursday where they found a damaged fence, which a woman said her ex-husband had intentionally run into with his car.
Richard Boutot, 46, of Meridan, Conn., was sitting in a 2012 Hyundai Accent with front-end damage in the driveway of the home when they arrived, according to police.
Boutot admitted damaging the fence and said God and/or Jesus ordered him to do it, police said.
Boutot’s ex-wife said he had shown up at her home unexpectedly and began making statements that became more and more bizarre, according to police. She made him leave and he drove his vehicle into her yard damaging the fence.
Boutot was taken into custody to be charged with unlawful mischief and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
While being processed at the State Police barracks, Boutot removed his clothes from the lower half of his body and began making comments and gestures of a sexual nature. Police then added a charge of lewd and lascivious conduct.2 CommentsMORE IN This Just InSuspicious fire in Springfield Friday.
