SPRINGFIELD — Springfield police have cited a 20-year-old Bellows Falls resident, currently in jail, in connection with nine burglary incidents in Springfield.

Police said Loewe was charged with five burglaries and four attempted burglaries.

Police said they cited Loewe at the Sullivan County Jail in Claremont, N.H., last Friday.

Two weeks ago, Vermont State Police, along with other police agencies, said Loewe was part of a group of seven area men who were responsible for 100 burglaries in the Connecticut River Valley. At the time, police said most of the burglaries took place at businesses without alarm systems.

Loewe will be arraigned April 17 in White River Junction criminal court.
