Patrick B. Levins Jr.
Patrick B. “Pooch” Levins Jr., 78, died March 27, 2012, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Rutland, Oct. 21, 1933, the son of Patrick B. and M. Jean (McKay) Levins Sr.
He was a 1951 graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy.
Mr. Levins was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
He was employed by FDIC as a bank examiner and later worked at Rutland Marble Bank.
He was a member of Christ the King Church, Rutland American Legion Post 31 and Rutland Elks Lodge.
Mr. Levins was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and a volunteer at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Alberta C. Howard Levins of Rutland; two stepsons, Patrick Howard of North Clarendon and Paul Howard of Castleton; two siblings, William and Sister Judy Levins SSJ, both of Rutland; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Levins was predeceased by four siblings, Douglas and Michael Levins, Sister Mary Catherine McKay and Joan Riebold.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Christ the King Church.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
