JAY — Land use regulators are supporting a Vermont ski resort’s expansion plans.
The District 7 Environmental Commission also has granted a permit for a townhouse project at the Jay Peak Resort.
Jay Peak presented its conceptual plan to the commission for its expansion on the Stateside area of the mountain in the spring.
The commission said Jay Peak can go ahead with the townhouse project that is part of the new master plan, even though the master plan is not completely ready to be reviewed.
Plans also include a new entrance that would link nearly complete tram-side expansion projects with two proposed hotels, five new lifts, and townhouse and condo units.
The expansion also includes 145 new acres of skiing and riding and 13 single-family homes.
